- 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and chopped
- ½ cup salted butter
- ½ cup heavy cream (or milk)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves roasted garlic (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and chop Yukon Gold potatoes into thumb-sized chunks.
- Boil in a large pot of salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain well and return to the pot over low heat for 1-2 minutes to dry.
- Add butter and cream to hot potatoes; mash until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper; stir in roasted garlic if desired.
- Serve warm in a bowl, adding swirls on top and drizzling with melted butter for presentation.
