- 8 oz fettuccine or penne
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional add-ins: grilled chicken or sautéed vegetables
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
- Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously. Once heated, stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
- Toss the drained pasta in the skillet with the sauce until well coated. If too thick, add reserved pasta water as needed.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese or fresh herbs.
