- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients on low speed until just mixed.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded dough balls onto prepared sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
