  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until just combined to avoid overmixing.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown on top but soft in the center.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
