- 1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (any color)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by dicing the onions and bell peppers, and mincing the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Increase heat to medium-high; add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart (6-8 minutes).
- Stir in minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in tomato sauce; stir to combine. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes to meld flavors.
- Serve hot with rice or crusty bread, topped with cheese if desired.
