Instructions
- Remove the sirloin tip steak from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes without moving it.
- Flip the steak using tongs and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
- Transfer the steak to a cutting board, cover loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice against the grain into thin strips and serve with your favorite side dishes.
