Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz firm tofu
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Press the tofu by wrapping it in paper towels and placing something heavy on top for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Toss the tofu cubes gently in the marinade; let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add marinated tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Pour any remaining marinade over the tofu and let it bubble for an additional 1-2 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Serve garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
