Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas and mix in sugar, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually sift in flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix gently until just combined, creating a soft dough.
- Lightly flour your surface; knead the dough briefly and roll it out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
- Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish, allowing space for rising. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
- While cooling, whip together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the frosting until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
