- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream (for whipping)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared pans and gently tap them to release any air bubbles.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
- Once cooled, layer with whipped cream or frosting of your choice.
