Jon Davis of Saint Leo in Oxford, Mississippi, was raised by his grandmother in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up, home-cooked pinto beans and skillet cornbread were delightful after-school snacks that shaped Davis’ understanding that the best dishes come from simple, quality ingredients.
