Make this delicious popular Indo-Chinese restaurant style Chilli Paneer at home with this step by step recipe! This flavourful dish can be eaten as a starter or served with fried rice. Let us know in the comments if you do try it!

Ingredients needed for chili paneer:
1 block of paneer cheese (220 Grams) (can be found in any Asian store)
Red/ green bell peppers
1 small onion
Spring onions (to garnish)
3 TBSP oil
1 tsp fresh garlic (chopped)
3 TBSP dark soy sauce
2 TBSP Ketchup
1 TBSP chilli sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp monosodium Glutamate (MSG) / Chinese salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chili powder
Corn slurry (1 tsp mixed with a little water)
1/s tsp lime

Method:
1. Cut the block of paneer into cubes.
2. You can also cut the bell peppers, spring onions, garlic and lime.
3. Fry the paneer cheese until it is golden brown and put into cold water for 30 mins.
4. In a pan add in oil and on a low heat brown the garlic.
5. Add in the soy sauce and then in goes the onions and peppers. Mix for 2 minutes.
6. Time to add in the ketchup and chilli sauce.
7. Also add in the salt, MSG (Chinese salt), black pepper and chili powder.
8. Mix for a couple of minutes and then add in the corn slurry until the sauce is thick.
9. Drain the paneer and add into the sauce turning the temperature to high.
10. Add in the lime at this stage and mix. Garnish with spring onion.
11. Serve with egg fried rice.
12) Your ready to serve.
