- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 1 cup fresh basil pesto
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot, add pasta, and cook until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Add basil pesto and mix until smooth.
- Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Remove from heat, stir in grated parmesan until melted and creamy. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve warm with extra parmesan and fresh basil on top.
