  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: Serves approximately 4 people 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with garlic, parsley, cumin, chili powder, and lemon juice until mostly smooth but slightly textured.
  3. Gradually stir in flour until the mixture is sticky yet manageable; adjust with more flour if too wet.
  4. Form small balls (1-2 inches in diameter) and place them on the baking sheet with space in between.
  5. Drizzle each ball lightly with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
