Instructions
- 1. Marinate chicken: In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, and pepper. Add chicken pieces, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- 2. Prepare coating: In another bowl, mix flour with paprika and any additional spices you prefer.
- 3. Heat oil: In a deep frying pan, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 4. Dredge chicken: Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess liquid drip off. Coat in the flour mixture.
- 5. Fry chicken: Carefully place coated pieces into hot oil in batches; fry until golden brown (about 12-15 minutes per side).
- 6. Drain & serve: Once cooked through (internal temperature of at least 165°F/74°C), remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
