- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups crushed salted pretzels
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with seasoned flour (salt and pepper), one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed pretzels.
- Coat each chicken breast in seasoned flour, then dip into the egg mixture.
- Roll each piece in crushed pretzels until well-coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the fried chicken to the prepared baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
