  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter until smooth, gradually adding sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time while mixing on medium speed; then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk into the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in crushed cookies using a spatula.
  7. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cakes to cool before transferring to wire racks.
  9. For frosting: whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  10. Layer one cake on a plate, spread frosting generously on top with more cookie bits before placing the second layer on top.
