  • 2 cups potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for sautéing)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until golden brown.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Stir in the mashed potatoes, green peas, turmeric, coriander, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Mix well and fold in chopped cilantro.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into circles (4-5 inches in diameter).
  5. Place about one tablespoon of filling in each circle, fold into half-moons, and seal edges with water.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange samosas on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush tops with melted butter or oil.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
