- 12 ounces dried spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey/plant-based substitute)
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef; drain excess fat. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix ricotta cheese with egg, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Layer half of the spaghetti in the baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce, dollops of ricotta mixture, and a sprinkle of mozzarella. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
