- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups milk (or plant-based alternative)
- 1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup nuts or seeds (walnuts or chia seeds)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine rolled oats and milk with a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally until it bubbles softly.
- Add honey or maple syrup into the oat mixture while cooking and mix well.
- After about 5 minutes, gently fold in the fresh berries until they soften slightly.
- Spoon the oatmeal into bowls and top with nuts or seeds as desired. Optionally drizzle additional honey on top.
- Serve immediately for a warm and hearty breakfast.
