- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices of bacon or sausage patties
- 4 slices of cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 2 English muffins or bagels
- Butter for toasting
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook bacon or sausage until crispy (5-7 minutes) and remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs with salt and pepper. Pour into the skillet over low heat and stir gently until cooked through (3-4 minutes).
- Slice English muffins or bagels in half, butter each half, and toast on another pan until golden brown (2-3 minutes).
- Assemble the sandwich by layering eggs, meat, and cheese on each toasted half.
- Return assembled sandwiches to low heat until cheese melts (about 1 minute). Serve hot.
