  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Set up your breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge each breast in flour, dip into eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Fry breaded chicken until golden brown on both sides (4-5 minutes per side).
  5. Transfer the chicken to an oven-safe dish, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving hot with pasta or salad on the side.
