Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 cup plain yogurt (for marinating)
- 2 tablespoons tikka spice mix (cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala)
- 1 can (400g) tomato puree
- 1 large onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine yogurt and tikka spice mix. Add chicken pieces and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
- 2. Sauté the Onions: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 3. Add Tomato Puree: Stir in the tomato puree and simmer for about five minutes until slightly thickened.
- 4. Cook the Chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook on medium heat until no longer pink.
- 5. Finish with Cream: Stir in heavy cream and simmer for another five minutes until smooth.
