- 1 cup full-fat coconut milk

- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until clear to remove excess starch.
- In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar if using. Stir gently.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low.
- Cover the saucepan and simmer for 15-20 minutes until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
