- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (enough for deep frying)
Instructions
- Soak chickpeas in cold water overnight; drain and rinse.
- In a food processor, blend chickpeas with parsley, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking soda, salt, and pepper until crumbly.
- Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes to meld flavors.
- Form into small balls or patties (about 1-2 inches).
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat (around 350°F) and fry falafel until golden brown on all sides (approximately 3-4 minutes each side).
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with tahini sauce or in pita bread.
