- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Fresh parsley or mint, chopped (to taste)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Olive oil for sautéing
- Yogurt sauce (optional): yogurt mixed with lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion and mincing the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Increase the heat slightly and add ground lamb. Cook for approximately 7 minutes, breaking it apart while stirring until evenly browned.
- Season with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 3 minutes to develop flavors.
- Just before serving, mix in fresh herbs to brighten the dish.
