- 1 lb ground halal beef
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 medium eggs
- 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 sub rolls
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground halal beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and eggs. Mix until just combined to avoid tough meatballs.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes).
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice and toast sub rolls on a baking sheet until golden brown.
- Assemble by placing meatballs in each toasted roll and spooning extra marinara sauce on top.
