- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (any color)
- 1 cup quality tomato sauce
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by finely chopping the onions and bell peppers, and mincing the garlic.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until tender (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned and fully cooked through.
- Stir in cumin and chili powder; mix well to coat the beef evenly.
- Pour in tomato sauce; let simmer for approximately 10 minutes to meld flavors.
- Serve hot over rice or pasta; garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
