- 1 (14.75 oz) can wild-caught salmon, drained and flaked
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup yellow or sweet onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh or dried dill
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by draining and flaking the canned salmon.
- In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, dill, egg, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties about 2 inches wide.
- Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Fry patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
- Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil before serving.
