Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup yellow or sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh or dried dill
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by draining and flaking the canned salmon.
  2. In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, dill, egg, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small patties about 2 inches wide.
  4. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil before serving.
