- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 4 oz lean turkey slices
- 1 leaf leafy lettuce
- 1 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp mayo or hummus
- ½ cucumber, sliced
- ½ apple (Fuji or Honeycrisp), sliced
Instructions
- Lay out two slices of whole grain bread on a clean surface.
- Spread mayo or hummus on one side of each slice.
- Layer turkey slices on one slice of bread, followed by cheddar cheese.
- Add leafy lettuce and cucumber slices for extra crunch.
- Place apple slices on top for sweetness and close with the second slice, mayo side down.
- Gently press together and cut diagonally for fun presentation.
