- 12 ounces dried spaghetti
- 1 pound lean ground halal beef
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 28 ounces canned crushed tomatoes (2 cans)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper; mix until combined.
- Form into one-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; sauté onions for 5 minutes then add garlic for another minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and herbs; simmer for 10 minutes before adding meatballs.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain and toss lightly with olive oil.
- Serve spaghetti topped with marinara sauce and meatballs.
