  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup plain or Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (or basil)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid dense meatballs.
  4. Form mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Heat marinara sauce in a saucepan; add cooked meatballs and simmer for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
