Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh peaches (firm and ripe)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash thoroughly and peel using a paring knife.
  2. Halve each peach along its seam, twist apart, remove the pit, and slice into wedges.
  3. Dissolve sugar in water over medium heat. Add lemon juice once dissolved.
  4. Sterilize jars in boiling water for 10 minutes. Pack peach slices into jars without squishing.
  5. Pour hot syrup over peaches, leaving ½ inch headspace at the top.
  6. Wipe rims clean and seal tightly with lids.
  7. Boil jars for about 20 minutes to ensure proper sealing.
