- 2 lbs fresh peaches (firm and ripe)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups filtered water
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Wash thoroughly and peel using a paring knife.
- Halve each peach along its seam, twist apart, remove the pit, and slice into wedges.
- Dissolve sugar in water over medium heat. Add lemon juice once dissolved.
- Sterilize jars in boiling water for 10 minutes. Pack peach slices into jars without squishing.
- Pour hot syrup over peaches, leaving ½ inch headspace at the top.
- Wipe rims clean and seal tightly with lids.
- Boil jars for about 20 minutes to ensure proper sealing.
