Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Instant Yeast
  • Whole Milk
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, instant yeast, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Gradually add warm milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, mixing until combined. Add eggs one at a time, blending well.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick on a floured surface and cut into squares or rectangles.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat (around 350°F). Fry each piece until golden brown (1-2 minutes per side).
  7. Drain excess oil on paper towels and generously dust with powdered sugar before serving.
