Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together cake flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter until smooth; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, mixing thoroughly after each addition; stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients while alternating with milk until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
