- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (divided: 1/4 cup for crust, 1/4 cup for cream cheese layer)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 package (3 oz) halal gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, crush pretzels into fine crumbs.
- Mix in melted butter and 1/4 cup sugar until combined. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes until golden. Let cool completely.
- Beat softened cream cheese with remaining sugar until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- In a saucepan, dissolve halal gelatin in boiling water, then mix in remaining sugar and sliced strawberries. Allow to cool slightly before pouring over the cream cheese layer.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
