BBQGuys Corporate Responsibility | National Day of Service

When we sat down to reevaluate our corporate sustainability practices, we asked ourselves a simple question: at its most basic level, what is a barbecue? We concluded that food, shelter, and a sense of belonging are at the heart of every cookout, and those ideas just so happened to align perfectly with our company values. After refocusing our efforts and discovering a renewed purpose, we’re proud to announce our 2021 sustainability efforts. We aim to donate 10,000 meals and 1,500 volunteer hours to alleviate our community’s struggle with hunger, homelessness, economic development, and environmental conservation. We’re especially excited to reveal our plans to better the local community on MLK Day, which is the only federal holiday set aside as a national day of service. They say it’s “a day on, not a day off,” and we embrace the spirit of that message today and into the future as we strive to make our home of Baton Rouge a better place for all.
