When we asked Chef Tony to review the Coyote S Series gas grill, he was practically giddy to check its quality claims. The tests didn't lie: Coyote S came out swinging hard with 304-grade stainless steel in practically each conceivable component. From the control panel to the warming rack to the cooking grids, every inch of steel is constructed from that caliber. From the way his eyes lit up once he got his hands on those H-style cast 304 burners, we knew we were in trouble — twice, our mischievous chef tried to sneak away with one. That's probably him getting even us after all those mouthwatering burgers we got him to cook during the performance tests (we may have pretended we forgot to get the camera running). Despite some small flareup issues at higher temperatures, and a heating inconsistency in part of the grilling surface, Chef Tony walked away from the Coyote S Series grill's cooking power reasonably impressed. The performance was great, the quality was astounding for the Premium class, and it boasted some solid features we're just not used to seeing at this price point. Honestly, the man's just lucky we didn't hide his car keys until he roasted us some chicken shawarma with that included rotisserie kit. Although, now that we're thinking it aloud...

Chef Tony Matassa grew up in the restaurant business, starting in his family’s New Orleans eatery before running one of his own. No wonder he has such vast knowledge of and passion for food science, which he puts to use every day as our jack-of-all-trades (and master of many). Longtime fans of the channel know Tony has been testing grills for more than 10 years, though we’re partial to his performance in our recent Grillabilities℠ series.

Featuring: Tony Matassa
