Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package instructions.
- Bake the cake until golden brown, then cool for 10 minutes. Use a wooden spoon handle to poke holes in the cake, spacing them about an inch apart.
- Prepare gelatin according to package directions (do not chill). Pour over the holes in the warm cake, allowing it to seep in.
- Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours to set.
- Once chilled, spread whipped topping over the cake and decorate with sprinkles or fresh fruit as desired.
