- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)
- 2 cups whole milk (for gravy)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Stir in milk until just combined; knead gently on a floured surface.
- Roll out dough to about an inch thick and cut into circles.
- Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add flour to sausage drippings, whisking until smooth. Gradually stir in milk until thickened; season with salt and pepper.
- Split warm biscuits open and ladle gravy over them before serving.
