- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
