  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
