- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Shape mixture into oval patties about 1 inch thick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Lower heat and add butter to the skillet. Whisk in flour until golden brown.
- Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
- Stir in Worcestershire and soy sauces; let simmer until thickened (about 3-5 minutes).
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer with gravy for 5-10 minutes before serving.
