Ingredients
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna (drained)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 2 slices sourdough or whole-grain bread
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional spices (garlic powder, paprika)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine drained tuna and mayonnaise; season to taste.
- Spread tuna mixture on one slice of bread; top with cheese and place the other slice on top.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat; add butter and toast the sandwich until golden brown on one side.
- Carefully flip and toast until the other side is golden and the cheese melts.
- Slice in half and serve hot.
