- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and stir well; bring to a vigorous bubble.
- Season with salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar; stir to combine.
- Fold in torn basil leaves just before serving.
- Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
