- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs in batches for about 5 minutes per side.
- Transfer browned meatballs to a separate baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 70°C).
