💧 is a critical component of life. Using water responsibly on his ranch in New Mexico, Manny Encinias focuses on ways he can be a better caretaker of his land and livestock, but also a better neighbor to his community.

🌵 Ranching in the desert southwest takes resilience. Last year, Manny was facing one of the severest droughts in his lifetime. His family had to make very intentional decisions about what pastures cattle were in, how long they were grazing there, and what time of day would be the best time to irrigate to provide the land the most opportunity to flourish and minimize evaporation.
