- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add chopped onions and diced carrots; sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in frozen peas.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; sprinkle dried herbs and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Boil potatoes until fork-tender (about 15 minutes), then mash with butter and milk until smooth.
- Spoon the meat mixture into an oven-safe dish, top with mashed potatoes, creating peaks with a fork.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
