- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- Add melted butter and eggs; mix well. Gradually incorporate flour and pinch of salt.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (approximately 1 hour).
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle; spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Roll tightly into a log and cut into even slices (about 1 inch thick).
- Arrange slices in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise again until puffy (30 minutes). Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with icing before serving.
