- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round 9-inch cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix in eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually stir in boiling water until well combined; batter will be thin.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
