- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop dough by tablespoon onto baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and heavy cream until fluffy.
- Once cookies are completely cool, frost generously.
