Ingredients
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 1 cup large shrimp, peeled
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cups seafood stock
- ½ cup dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay)
- 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients: chop onions, mince garlic, and clean seafood.
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Add minced garlic; cook until fragrant (30 seconds).
- Deglaze with white wine; simmer for 2-3 minutes until reduced by half.
- Pour in seafood stock and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Gradually stir in heavy cream and simmer on low for another 5 minutes.
- Add crab meat and shrimp; cook until shrimp turn pink (3-4 minutes).
- Finish with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and herbs before serving.
